यह कहानी 5 दिसंबर को शुरू होती है, जब सुभाष ने अपने भतीजे शिशिर को उनके हाथ में देर तक पकड़ा रखा। वह उस समय अपने दाढ़ी बढ़ी हुई और तकिये पर अधलेटे से बैठे थे।
सुभाष चंद्र बोस के पौत्र और शिशिर बोस के बेटे सौगत बोस ने बताया कि सुभाष ने कैसे अपने पिता से पूछा कि "क्या तुम मेरा एक काम करोगे?" बिना किसी काम के बारे में जाने, शिशिर ने हां कह दी थी।
बाद में पता चलता है कि सुभाष उनकी मदद से भारत से निकलने का प्लान बना रहे थे। शिशिर के साथ, सुभाष योजना बनाते हैं कि वे चाचे की कार में कोलकाता से दूर एक रेलवे स्टेशन तक जाएंगे।
